Nice pics, Bosun! You weren't a million miles away from us - you could've come for a cup of coffee. :D

Nope, quite a long way off - if you check the map, we're below the Cherbourg peninsular. Look for Vire, a bit further down is Mortain, then there's a straight road from Mortain to St Hilaire du Harcouet, and we're exactly halfway between those two towns. :D

From southern off Sweden in a little town called Barsebäck.

My daughter and son are playing with her camera on the beach and managed to take this photo.

Hello from a motel in Alabama.

I'm on a road trip to drive my son from San Antonio back to his mom in South Carolina. Already through Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Gonna do some sight-seeing at Florida beaches and then to the mountains north.

So I'll be out of touch for a while till back in Texas.

Greetings from Irish Fest, on Milwaukee's lakefront. This is the largest Celtic cultural festival in North America; my kids are here to hurl. Heh.

*shakes up thread*

Hello (last week) from Loch Fleet near the top of Scotland:

Image

1699 mile round trip including the gadding about whilst we were there, and a detour through the lake district
on the way home (Lake district in summer, bad bad bad idea)
Lots of walking and wildlife spotting as usual in Scotland.
We saw salmon, roe deer, osprey, sparrowhawks, oyster catchers, geese, heron, cormarants, buzzards, pinemartins, seals, dippers, lots of little birdies, burnet moths, lots of different butterflies, a wasps nest (they didnt like me), And above all else lots and lots of MIDGES!
